The standard and quality of scientific research presented this year was felt by the committee to be extremely high and it was very difficult to select four presentations to be awarded prizes. Our prize winners were:
Lauren Black (University of Glasgow) - Investigation of potential pathological mechanisms associated with mutant SOD1 toxicity in canine degenerative myelopathy (DM)
Emma Golding (University College Dublin) - Owners’ perceptions of the impacts of common equine health conditions on their horses and themselves
Kai-Ming Kevin Liang (University of Nottingham) - Experiences of Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) students at the University of Nottingham Veterinary School
Zoe Griffin (Royal Veterinary College) - Identification of Diatoms in Formalin-Fixed Canine Lung
