The AVTRW has an extremely long and distinguished history, with the association running for over 77 years. We aim to further the interests of our members through:
The organisation of scientific meetings for members
Providing a friendly and supportive atmosphere for students, interns and residents working with veterinary research to present it
Political lobbying activities within the veterinary and academic arenas. Representing its members on relevant committees
Meet the team
AVTRW is managed by a national committee consisting of a President, Junior and Senior Vice Presidents, a Secretary and a Treasurer. These positions are annually elected at the organisation's AGM which is held during the conference.
The committee is supported by a council which consists of co-opted members representing all of the major veterinary research, teaching and governmental organisations.
